چکیده

OBJECTIVES: To determine the number and configuration of canals in permanent maxillary premolars using Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) relationship between count patient gender northwest region Pakistan. METHODS: This cross-sectional observational study was conducted at Khyber College Dentistry (KCD) Peshawar, Data collected from July 1st to 30th December 2020, 133 patient’s CBCT scans with 266 premolar teeth. Roots frequency as well configurations were analyzed Vertucci canal classification. images obtained Radiology department KCD. SPSS-23 software, RESULTS: Type-I Vertucci's composition most common first (45.4%), followed by Type-IV (25.9%). frequent find second (64.2%), Type-III (15.4%). In Maxillary premolars, 247 (92.8%) single-rooted 19 (7.14%) two-rooted. 155 (57.9%) single-rooted, 110 (41.3%) two-rooted, one (0.37%) three-rooted. & premolar, single-root commonest root among males (92.7% 58.4%) females (30.8% 19%) respectively. Gender-based difference all not-significant. Mean tooth length 19.40±2.035 mm 20.08±2.395 crown 6.05±0.752 5.69±0.505 CONCLUSION: Most had classification configuration. diversity for All types observed premolars.

Evaluation of mandibular premolars root canal morphology by cone beam computed tomography

Introduction: To achieve a successful endodontic treatment, the clinician has to identify the different canal configurations.mandibular premolars have the wide variety of root canal morphology and they are known as the most difficult teeth to treat in endodontics.CBCT  provides a non-invasive 3D confirmatory diagnosis as a complement to conventional radiography. The aim of this study was to...

Cone Beam Computed Tomography Study of Root and Canal Morphology of Mandibular Premolars in Indore Population

Knowledge of the variations in root and root canal morphology is mandatory for the success of endodontic treatment. Neglecting to probe, prepare and fill all the canals can lead to failure of endodontic treatment 1 . As a group the mandibular premolars are among the most difficult teeth to treat endodontically, because they have high incidence of multiple roots or canals 2 . Moreover their root...

Evaluation of root canal morphology of maxillary molars using cone beam computed tomography

OBJECTIVES The success of endodontic treatment is based on cleaning and shaping of the root canals. The root canals have complex morphology and wide individual variations. The objective of this study was to analyze root canals morphology and existence of extra canals in maxillary molars in Saudi subpopulation. METHODS Freshly extracted maxillary first molars (n=100) were included in this stud...
